In the late summer Ant Queens develop wings so they can fly off to start a new colony. We will go on a hike to look for Ant Queens. We will pick one colony to unearth and inspect. We will identify different stages of the Ant life cycle within the unearthed colony, and see if we can spot a Queen and a newly winged Queen.
