Come to Beckman Mill’s Heritage Sunday to learn about historic trades such as broom making, blacksmithing, wood carvers, basket weavers, and others. The grinding process will begin at noon at the mill and continue throughout the day. The museum and gift shop will be open. Special activities for kids include butter making, digging for potatoes, blacksmithing and corn shelling. Horse drawn wagon rides, interacting with a Civil War soldier and doctor, WWII and Viet Nam living history displays, collector show cars are other attractions. Bacon cheddar brats and ¼ pound all beef hot dogs, chips, pop, water, and pies and desserts will be sold. There is no admission charge, but donations are appreciated to help the Friends of Beckman Mill to continue their 30 year endeavor to maintain the buildings and educate about bygone times.
