Time to put on your explorer’s hat! On this Jr. Explorer Adventure kids ages 7-11 will become part of the Confluence Discovery Team! They’ll dig with us into the history of the confluence land and waters and find out about the people and animals who lived here and learn what traces they’ve left behind. They’ll learn about the archeological dig done right here for Ke-Chunk, a Ho-Chunk village. Then we’ll touch and learn about ancient fossilized animal bones and ancient tools.
Just like a real archeologist, they’ll sift through their own container of sand to find shells and million year old fossils and sharks teeth collected in Florida. They will learn about what they found, and will get to keep their finds! In addition, they will take home a replica arrowhead and a few larger shells as keepsakes!
This program is one day only, but you may also choose from other dates: July 20
