Meet Nature At The Confluence’s monarchs up close and personal!
In this program that is designed for kids and their adults, you’ll learn about the amazing monarch butterfly, their life cycle, and their unique long-distance migration. You’ll view our indoor monarch habitat up close and personal to see the entire life cycle of a monarch. Then we’ll get out our microscopes so you can see the amazing structure of a monarch wing and see the difference between a healthy monarch and one with a disease. You’ll learn about our efforts to restore monarch habitat as we’ll take a short hike along our prairie trail. You’ll also learn how you can make an impact in your school, community, or backyard to help monarchs and benefit many other wildlife species at the same time!
This family program is designed for kids ages 7-12 and their adults (adults must stay with the kids, and you’re going to have just as much fun as them!) Younger family members are welcome to also attend.
