Learn about the mighty monarch “super generation”. While other generations of monarchs live about 2-4 weeks, the super generation will live 8 times longer! These monarchs are the last generation for the season, and will fly up to 80 miles a day on a 2000 mile journey to a massive monarch over-wintering location in Mexico.

In this program you’ll learn about this amazing journey and find out how we’re tagging monarchs to help track them.  You’ll also learn how easy it is for you to get involved in helping increase the monarch population, which is down 80% since the 1990’s.

The highlight of the program is the opportunity to watch a visually stunning 42 minute documentary about the remarkable Monarch butterfly migration, called the most incredible migration on Earth, and the determined scientist who spent 40 years trying to discover exactly where the butterflies mysteriously disappeared when they flew south for winter.

Registration is not required. $5 suggested donation per individual or family
