Join us in stewarding the land as we clean up Kelly Creek. Branches have fallen and are blocking the flow of the creek, and we need your help to cut and clear the way. This beautiful stream is a combination of a natural spring and stormwater runoff, so litter constantly flows through and we want to stop it from reaching the Rock River.

Wading in the water is optional. Volunteers who wish to stay on land can assist with litter pick up. Volunteers who are ready to wade should wear closed-toed shoes that can get wet. Rubber boots, old sneakers, or water shoes are great. We have two pairs of waterproof overalls and two pairs of adult size rubber boots available for borrowing, as well as all the tools that will be needed. The creek is shallow (1-2 feet deep) but has a muddy, uneven bottom.

All volunteers must sign a waiver before participating. Be ready to get more than just your hands dirty 🙂
