The Willowbrook “Environmental Camp” group visited the Confluence on June 9 and explored Turtle Creek, pulled weeds and picked up debris. Their leaders said many of the kids had never been in moving water before and thought it was really cool. They enjoyed learning to skip rocks, playing in the mud and finding soft-shelled turtles. Turtle Creek is nice and shallow at the Confluence with a sandy/gravel bottom, making a great location for safe water exploration.
Thanks to the students and leaders for visiting the Confluence!
